Compare the Zig-Zag Blue, King, and French Orange skateboard decks. This guide covers key differences to help you pick the right 8-inch deck for your setup.
Quick answer
All three Zig-Zag skateboard decks are 8-inch, 7-ply American Maple decks with identical construction—your choice comes down to which booklet artwork you prefer and whether the slight price difference matters.
Same build, different look
Each Zig-Zag skateboard deck uses the same 7-ply American Maple wood and measures 8 inches wide. The only differences are the custom print artwork and the price. Trucks and wheels are not included with any model, so you'll need to supply your own hardware.
Price differences explained
The Blue and French Orange decks are priced similarly, while the King deck costs about a dollar more. This small premium reflects the licensed King booklet artwork rather than any upgrade in materials or construction. If budget is tight, the Blue or French Orange offer the same ride quality for less.
How to choose your Zig-Zag skateboard deck
- If you want the most recognizable design: Go with the French Orange deck. Its iconic booklet art is a classic Zig-Zag look that stands out on the street or in the park.
- If you prefer a modern, clean aesthetic: The Blue deck features the Ultra-Thin Booklet art for a sleek, contemporary appearance. It's also the most affordable option.
- If you want a bold, collectible graphic: The King deck features the distinctive King booklet artwork. It costs a bit more, so choose it if the design speaks to you. All three decks share the same 7-ply maple construction and 8-inch width—your decision is purely visual and budgetary.
